What we are looking for
We are looking for self-motivated graduates to join our Product Operations and Customer Care teams. Within a flexible and informal working environment, we are structured into small, functional teams of creative individuals.

Development
Micro Focus offers a comprehensive, scalable suite of innovative COBOL development environments. We provide a bridge between COBOL and Java, offer fast migrations to new platforms, innovative ways to reuse existing assets and Web Services.

Our development teams work on a very broad range of technologies and languages.

Languages include COBOL, Java, and C++. The products are developed for latest Windows Operating systems including .NET, all leading UNIX platforms and IBM Z/OS.

There are several teams, each with specialised skills, including language parsing/compiler technology, IDE, middleware/ communications, database, componentisations - COM, EJB, and Web services.

Our development people not only include many of the industry’s most gifted and innovative minds, but also enjoy a great team spirit engendered by the relaxed, professional atmosphere.

Customer Care

The role of the Associate Support Engineer within Micro Focus is to provide front-line technical support across our wide product range, helping to resolve issues from customers in the UK and from our Distributor network throughout the rest of the world.

The position provides a great deal of variety, ranging from direct office-based telephone and email support to off-site pre-sales work where there may be the opportunity to be involved in product demonstrations and seminars.

What's important is your feel for the business, and your will to apply yourself wholeheartedly to our business. You'll need common sense and judgement combined with a lot of energy.

If you have strong system design, programming and/or testing skills and you have what it takes to work in a challenging, customer centric environment using C++, Java, C# or COBOL on .Net, J2EE, Windows, Unix or Linux then we would like to hear from you.
